What we collect and why
When an admin adds Bookly to your organisation in Slack, we only collect data necessary for our Services to function.
Any of the information we collect from you may be used to either personalise your experience, better respond to your needs, operate and improve our Services or to contact you.
The following is the information we collect and the reasons why:
- Slack sub-domain of your organisation
- Identify your platform for support, and associate your users’ books to the correct organisation.
- Name and email of the admin that installed Bookly
- Used to Identify your data for support.
- Name and email of the user that payed for your Bookly subscription, and the last 4 digits of their card
- Used to diagnose any support issues, the last 4 digits of your card is displayed to the admin when logging into the dashboard to help identify their corporate card used to subscribe to Bookly.

Where your information is stored
Security and storage
Bookly runs in Google Cloud and is hosted in the United States. Information submitted to Bookly is encrypted at rest and in transit through secure connections. All Slack bot access tokens are encrypted, so even our admins can’t read them.
We do not sell, lease or transfer your personal information to third parties, but we may and sometimes shall disclose your personal information if one of the following circumstances occur:
- as required by law such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information

How long do we retain data about you?
We store your Bookly data for as long as you are using our Services. If an organisation does not have a subscription and has been inactive for a long time we may still retain your data in case you wish to return to Bookly.
The admins for your account are responsible for your data. In most circumstances, they must approve of any data removal or modifications. If you are a member from the European Union and your admin will not request to remove your data please contact us at info@booklyapp.com.
Cookies and how we use them
Cookies are small files a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
We use cookies to aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better Services now and in the future.
Here’s a few examples of how we use cookies:
- To keep you logged in to the dashboard.
- We use cookies to see how people interact with the website
- Our customer support software has cookies that enable onsite support widgets and help us better assist you.

Who has access to your information
Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the Services requested. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We partner with the following third parties:
- Stripe (https://stripe.com)
- Billing and payment processor for purchases. (admin contact data only).
- Google Cloud Platform (https://cloud.google.com)
- Hosting provider for app and data storage.
- Google Analytics (https://www.google.com/analytics)
- Service analytics to track and analyze Service usage. No emails are sent, only your organisation’s Slack sub-domain.
- Drift (https://www.drift.com)
- Our customer support software.
How you can control your data
Depending on if you are an admin or member, you will have different rights regarding your data. If you are an admin, you can request for us to send, remove or modify any information about your account. To permanently remove your data, you must email us at info@booklyapp.com, and we will remove your data within 30 days of notice.
